Welcome

Westown Pediatric Dentistry is the practice of Dr. Nancy I. Hammond, Dr. Hilary Reynolds, and Dr. Nicholas Barnard. They provide examinations, cleanings and preventive dentistry, among other services, to adolescents and children.

Why should I choose your office?

While oral health is important for everyone, children’s developing mouths – and their developing habits – make good dental care and oral hygiene essential for a growing child. Choosing a dentist for your child can be a challenging task, especially if he/she needs to have some cavities fixed. Pediatric dentists are different from general dentists because they are experts in the dental care of children.

Pediatric dentists must apply and be accepted to a post-doctoral fellowship program following the completion of dental school. Once accepted, the dentist undergoes an additional two years of specialized classwork and clinical experience before they can be considered a pediatric dentist. The dentists have a combined experience of over 35 years. They are known in the dental community for their ability to complete very complex treatments along with the efficient and effective use of minimal, in-office sedation techniques.

Our staff undergoes additional continuing education every year to ensure they are familiar with the most up-to-date information on the latest procedures, techniques and technology available in dentistry. But, more importantly, they receive training on how to deliver gentle, compassionate and quality dental care to children.  In addition, everyone here at Westown Pediatric Dentistry undergoes regular training to maintain current CPR and mandatory child abuse reporting certifications.  All of these requirements are in place to make sure we provide the best quality care for ALL children.

Westown Pediatric Dentistry is a non-discrimination practice.
